Spongostan absorbable hemostatic gelatin sponge is a sterile, waterinsoluble,
malleable sponge intended for hemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface. Spongostan will create a barrier together with fibrin which will stop the bleeding in 2-10 minutes and will be completely resorbed in 4-6 weeks.
- Spongostan has a neutral pH and can absorb 45 times its own weight.
