Spongostan absorbable hemostatic gelatin sponge is a sterile, waterinsoluble,
malleable sponge intended for hemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface. Spongostan will create a barrier together with fibrin which will stop the bleeding in 2-10 minutes and will be completely resorbed in 4-6 weeks.

• Spongostan has a neutral pH and can absorb 45 times its own weight.
• Use in surgery as a local hemostatic agent and in the obliteration of "dead space"
• Prepared from a neutral reacting purified gelatin foam of uniform porosity.
• Adheres to the place of the hemorrhage and absorbs 45 times its weight.
